The ALEX VAN STARREX Website

WORLD TIME

INTRODUCTION

This page uses javascript to display the time in various places around the world. The script comes from Emanuel Gavrilv (eltal@sprint.ca) and was found on The JavaScript Source!! - http://javascript.internet.com. I haven't varied the script much from the way I found it - in due course I may add various cities to it. The areas are arranged in tome zones, as opposed to alphabetical order.

The important thing to note - other than the actual time itself - is the plus "+"or minus "-"before the time. This tells whether the place you are looking at has the same date as your own, or is a day ahead/behind. All places with a plus have the same date, while those with a minus have the day before.

The "Local Time" is simply read off your computer - just as the other times add or substract whole hours accordingly. There is no provision within the script to account for daylight savings, but it's still quite a handy thing to have nevertheless.
