What is the Christian Gospel message?

God became a man called JESUS and paid the death penalty that humans deserve, opening the way to life in heaven forever.
This life would otherwise be denied to imperfect humans who always grow up hurting each other, despite their best intentions.

We can't enter heaven by being
GOOD people, because the act of ignoring God and hurting each other has already taken away our right to live with him.

We can only enter heaven by being
FORGIVEN people who accept and follow Jesus' way of living, because he died to demonstrate God's love for us, and rose again to demonstrate his power over death. Jesus is God working as a man. Welcoming and listening to his Godly Spirit by the way we conduct our lives demonstrates that we accept his sacrifice (so we can be forgiven) and gives us the right to join his Godly family.

Although God knows we continually fail to be holy, he counts us as holy if we persist in doing good but rely on Jesus' goodness instead of our own.

No one who rejects God as Jesus and relies on their own goodness will escape the punishment they deserve for abusing the gift of life and hurting their fellow humans.

The words of Jesus are preserved in the Bible, and his undying Spirit lives in everyone who follows him.
No other man in history is annually celebrated across the world with three days to mark his birth and death and resurrection (on Christmas Day, Good Friday and Easter Sunday).

Greetings! My name is Isaac. I'm a Christian in Sydney Australia and this is my index page.
An index is a pointer, and Christians point to the Christ (the name of God's promised rescuer).
A web page on the internet is the most convenient way to display a message for the entire world.
The following questions point to the good sense of Christianity (and the unreasonable alternatives).

Does God exist?

Then humans are accidents of an aimless universe and haven't been designed to behave in any particular way. We're not accountable to a creator, so we can treat other people however we want. Right or wrong is a matter of personal opinion.

Psa 14:1
Acts 17:24-28
Rom 1:20
Heb 11:6
Jam 2:19

1. We exist as a result of God's intentions

Does God control our decisions
to help or harm people?

Then we're not responsible for our actions and we can't earn reward or punishment. We can't hate and we can't love.

Deut 30:15-20
Josh 24:15
Rom 9:19-21

2. We're free to choose how we behave

If we make our own decisions, is it God's fault
if we ignore him and suffer the consequences?

Then God should stop us from making wrong choices and force us to to do what he wants.

Lam 3:33
Rom 3:10-12
Rom 8:6-7
Gal 6:7-9

3. We're responsible for our mistakes

If we don't use our lives the way God
intended, do we deserve to lose them?

Then we would be saying that God should tolerate and sustain harmful behaviour in his universe.

Ezek 18:4
Rom 1:29-32
Rom 6:23
1 John 3:15

4. The penalty for abusing life is death
It takes an immortal to defeat death. While
retaining his eternal life in heaven, could God
deliberately experience a human death on earth?
Then God's power is limited and we have no alternative but to lose our lives, because we can't save ourselves.

2 Cor 5:21
Phil 2:5-8
Heb 2:9-11
Heb 9:22-28

5. God can die for us if he becomes a human
Jesus lived on earth claiming to seek and
save the lost. Does God in heaven accept
his sacrifice on our behalf?
Then we are still waiting for a miracle to save us from our punishment.

Luke 19:10
1 Cor 15:3-8
1 Thess 4:14
Heb 2:14-15

6. Jesus died for us
If death is the punishment for a harmful life,
could it hold the innocent Jesus in the grave?
Then Jesus can't break the barrier of death and there is no resurrection by his power.

John 11:25-26
Acts 2:24
Acts 26:8
Rom 6:9
1 Cor 15:17-22

7. Jesus lives forever
The harm we cause is the reason Jesus gave
his life. Can we afford to ignore his sacrifice
and the new life he offers?
Then God's grace and love mean nothing to us, and we remain ungrateful and ignorant creatures.

Luke 13:2-3
Acts 2:37-39
Rom 12:2
Col 3:12-14
Heb 2:2-3

8. Jesus forgives us and we should forgive others
We can't match Jesus' life with our good
works
, but we can live in the Spirit of his
goodness. If Jesus died for us, is it right
that we should live for him?

Then we might as well give up trying to be good and just accept the futility and suffering of our existence.

Ezek 18:30-32
Rom 2:7
Rom 8:10-14
1 John 3:24
Eph 2:8-10

9. God accepts us as his children if we live by the same Spirit as his Son

Does God know everyone who will turn
to Jesus even before they're born?

Then he can't see how our individual paths are mapped out. Our fate is uncertain, and our destiny hasn't been determined.

John 1:12-13
Rom 8:28-30
Eph 1:4-6
2 Tim 2:19

10. God knows all his children
If God predestines Jesus' followers for an
eternal future with him, will the people who
ignore Jesus be ignored by God?
Then God will let the enemies of his Son continue to contaminate his creation.

Psa 37:28-29
John 14:2
1 Cor 2:9-10
Heb 10:26-31

11. God prepares a home for his family and shuts out their enemies
Can people who ignore Jesus find another
way to escape being judged and punished?

Then there was no need for Jesus to die.

John 3:36
John 14:6
Acts 4:12
Rom 9:16

12. The way we treat Jesus is the way we'll be treated by his Father

Every year Christmas is seen as a festive season and a time of celebration.
But there's an important message underlying the bright lights and presents:

CHRISTMAS: A MATTER OF LIFE AND DEATH

We live on the earth, with heaven above
But we lean towards harm, and not towards love...
So people hurt each other, day after day
With eternal DEATH as the price to pay;
Because a life that feels hate, and wants to choose it
Abuses God's gift, and deserves to lose it.
But who can beat death? It would have to be God
(And to die for bad people would seem very odd).
But God can't die, unless he leaves heaven's portal
And chooses for a time to become a mortal.
So a baby called Jesus was born one night
And his name brings hope and power and might:
"God with us" is the meaning of Immanuel,
A LIFE that protects us from the fires of hell.
So instead of Santa, with reindeer that fly
Give a thought to the man who was born to die:
The Christ, who makes Christmas a holy endeavour
To allow God's children to live forever.

If God wanted to speak to us, we'd expect him to do it in a far-reaching and effective way.
Throughout the world, one volume of 66 books surpasses all others in popularity and distribution:

If you want to explore the truth sent by God through his Son, try attending a local church.
There are good and bad churches, so don't give up if the first one you try is a disappointment.
You can be confident of good company if your church upholds and follows the truth of the Bible.
