Greens Move for Extra Sporting Field at Bicentennial Park

The Greens are moving alleviate pressure for extra sporting fields in the south of Randwick City Council.

Greens Councillor Murray Matson will move at the next meeting that an extra field be constructed at Bicentennial Park.

His motion reads as follows.

That: Council:

1) Commence the conversion of open space at Bicentennial Park into a sporting field this financial year; and

2) Open immediate discussions between Council, the Department of Education and appropriate sporting associations on a memorandum of understanding on the opening of sporting fields at South Sydney High and other schools for after hours use by sporting associations.
