Geoff has been involved in the visual arts in various mediums since 1975 when he entered art school at the age of 17. He has held many exhibitions of paintings ,a high point being when a reviewer described him as, "an oddly dramatic species of surrealism." He has branched out beyond the canvas into various design mediums: including computer graphics, big things for festivals & theatre events.
Recently he has worked with Sydney's Chinese community and Darling Harbour Authority on a number of giant lantern projects. These have included a flying pig lantern for Year of the golden Pig and an animated ox lantern for Year of the Ox. The lantern below was made for the Aurora Festival at Darling Harbour, dubbed the Siren she stood 4 stories high and had a working weather vane spinning on the beak of the bird. She now rests at the entrance to Bathurst Art Centre.
