BIOGRAPHY

SINGER/SONGWRITER and guitarist of classical and folk roots. She has a large repertoire of original compositions for guitar and piano.

1999
  • Airplay on 2BL702 & ABC Radio National and on community radio of her songs from her 4 track CD,"Not A Desperado". "Heal The Inside" on ABC play list.
  • Successfull launch of CD at the Starfish Jazz Club and favourable review in Drum Media (May and June).
  • Gigs at Harbourside Brasserie; Three Weeds, Rozelle; Excelsior Hotels, Glebe and Surry Hills; Rattlesnake Bar & Grill; Off-Broadway Hotel; Down Under Cafe'; residency at the Chocolate Factory,Paddington and Rozelle & North Sydney Markets.
  • Performed at and helped program the Sea Theatre Festival on the coast walk from Bondi to Bronte (7th Feb).
  • Appearances at Woodford Folk Music Festival.
1998
  • Sang "Van Man" song by Anne Gibson for segment by Emily Gibson on The Comfort Zone on Radio National.
  • Guest performer of the Starfish Club house band, Jonathon Zwarts, Hamish Stuart, Tim Rollinson with Bernie McCall on piano.
  • Showcase of her songs at Harbourside Brasserie.
  • Solo performances at Woodford Folk Music Festival.
  • Music for short film "Fordomatic", by Emily Gibson, featuring the song "My Beautiful Pink Ford Falcon" by Anne Gibson.
  • Gigs at Club Kite, Bondi Beach; the Globe, Newtown; The Cat & Fiddle Hotel; The Annandale Hotel, Brendan Behan Hotel; Green Square Hotel and regular gigs at Rozelle market.
  • Entertained MUA members at Port Botany picket line.
  • Interviews of 2SERFM Songwriters' show and on Eastside Radio.
  • Involved in organising Club Kite - a monthly acoustic music event at Bondi which promotes original acts.
1997
  • Guest performer at The Starfish Jazz Club at Bondi Surf Lifesaving Club.
  • Interviews on 2RESFM.
  • Participant at The Sea Theatre Festival in February and at the first Sydney Womens' Festival at the Domain in March.
  • Showcases at Kinselas and North Point Tavern.
