And, with an 1.8m cable, your new standard DB-9 COM port, which is automatically configured as COM(n) where n is an unused COM port number, can be located on your physical desktop. No more reaching around back! This is a great way to connect your GPS Datalogger (and other serial devices) to your new laptop that has only USB ports. Or add extra COM ports to your PC, no more swapping, re-configuring drivers, and no IRQ problems.
