What makes the Sydney College of Homœopathic Medicine different from other colleges?

We are a specialised college in Sydney teaching only homoeopathy. Our focus is purely on the provision of our student's needs. We have large airy classrooms, a comprehensive library, imported books for sale at extremely reasonable prices and a college dispensary containing the most widely used remedies. Situated in the energetic heart of Leichhardt we are surrounded by restaurants, there is a bookshop across the road, and our balcony has a lovely view over Sydney. There is a student kitchen area for making drinks and heating food.

Our homoeopathic faculty staff are drawn from the most experienced practitioners and teachers in Sydney.

All except one of our medical science faculty are also homoeopaths. This brings an added dimension to the excellent medical science training we offer.

O
ur students have access to state of the art computer software for use during their clinical practice training. Lecturers also use this software for teaching case analysis.

The clinical supervision we offer is 'one on one' with an experienced supervisor. Students are given the space and time they need to practice and develop the case taking and interpersonal skills needed to sustain a successful career.

Students are offered two individual tutorials a year and are given representation and input at the college staff meetings.

Last but not least, we are always aware that a great deal of personal development takes place in the lives of our students during their homoeopathic training. Qualities and skills such as the ability to clearly perceive; the development and use of intuition; a sense of inner calmness, tolerance and compassion are all part of the homoeopath's job description. These qualities cannot be taught from a book and therefore must come from within each student. Our staff recognise that process and aim to support our students through it in whatever way we can.
